The founding members of the Beachwood Historical Alliance would like to extend our invitation to everyone interested in taking part in our activities to research, record and communicate the history of Beachwood Borough that our meetings are held the last Thursday of each month, at St. Paul’s Church on Cable Avenue, at 7pm. Some committees to be formed within the BHA include the Research Committee, Centennial Pine/Environmental Committee, Structure Committee, Downtown Committee, and Budget/Finance Committee.

Join today! It'll at least be easier and more fun that what original borough planner Addison Nickerson was advertising for.

We recently moved from Beachwood after 70 years as summer and full time residents.

Great job on preserving the history.

I am looking for information about an individual named Frank Turner who may have been a police officer or constable in Beachwood in the 1920′s or 30′s. I saw in one of your histories that an individual of that name was appointed fire warden in 1916. This gentleman was the brother of my grandfather, John C. Turner. I also believe there was a daughter named Winifred. I would greatly appreciate any information available on this branch of my family.

    Thank you,

    Bob Cumming

I recently bought a home in town which was built in 1900, and I’d like to find out more information about the property! Also, what are your current meeting dates for 2011? Thanks!
    Sincerely,
    Heather Killeen
